In case of a rainy summer....
Please visit my website www.kgholmqvist.com

When it rains five days and the skies turn dark as night
When it rains five days and the skies turn dark as night
Then trouble's takin' place in the lowlands at night

I woke up this mornin', can't even get out of my door
I woke up this mornin', can't even get out of my door
There's been enough trouble to make a poor girl wonder where she want to go

Then they rowed a little boat about five miles 'cross the pond
Then they rowed a little boat about five miles 'cross the pond
I packed all my clothes, throwed them in and they rowed me along

When it thunders and lightnin' and when the wind begins to blow
When it thunders and lightnin' and the wind begins to blow
There's thousands of people ain't got no place to go

Then I went and stood upon some high old lonesome hill
Then I went and stood upon some high old lonesome hill
Then looked down on the house were I used to live

Backwaterblues done call me to pack my things and go
Backwater blues done call me to pack my things and go
'Cause my house fell down and I can't live there no more

Mmm, I can't move no more
Mmm, I can't move no more
There ain't no place for a poor old girl to go

Cornelis Vreeswijk - De Beerenburg Blues

Album: Live In Luxembourg At L'Inoui, https://www.bigdaddywilson.com/, Lyrics: walk a mile in my shoes Then you know how I feel
walk a mile in my shoes
Before you judge this man
If you walk in my shoes
you might understand
People always try to tell me
Tell me what I oughta do
Some really want to help me
Lord I know it true
everybody got an opinion
better take some advice
don’t really make no difference
got to live my whole life
I’m a simple type person - oh yeah
don’t need much in this old life
I read my bible
try to live my life right
I don’t need nobody
tell me what I ought to do
if you really want to help me
then take a walk in my shoes
walk a mile in my shoes
then you know how I feel
walk a mile in my shoes
before you judge this man
if you walk in my shoes
you might understand
don’t no body wanna listen
every body knows a way
every body knows an answer
before the question is raised
Everybody think they know me
don’t even know my name
if you really wanna help me
you got to feel my pain
walk a mile in my shoes
walk a mile in my shoes
walk a mile in my shoes
before you judge this man
if you walk in my shoes
you might understand
walk a mile in my shoes
walk a mile in my shoes
walk a mile in my shoes
before you judge this man
if you walk in my shoes
oh Lord you might understand
take a little walk…………

🎙️(Official Original) Left Me the Blues by Carter B Brooks, brought to life by MynxMotion Studio
https://www.youtube.com/playli....st?list=PLmoYEQ87kdR

LIVE NOW on music platforms...including Spotify, Apple Music, and others

She sang her truth. Now it's his turn to answer.

Left Me the Blues is a slow-burning soul-blues confession steeped in regret, memory, and midnight truth. A response to the bold jazzy blues track 'That’s My Name You’re Forgetting', this is the man’s side of the story — the one who let the fire die and now sings to shadows.

With echoes of B.B. King and the emotional grit of Southern blues, Carter Brooks comes to the mic with nothing left but heart, whiskey, and his trusty guitar.

🎸 Original song written and produced by MynxMotion Studio
🎥 Visual storytelling inspired by smoky bars, fading love, and late-night realizations
🎶 For fans of Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr., and BB King style

🎵 Lyrics:

Left Me the Blues

I saw you dancin’ in that midnight dress
The one you wore when you loved me best
But I let it slip - yeah, I played it wrong
Now the fire’s gone, but the heat’s still strong

You left me the blues and nothin’ but truth
Your name still echoes in this worn-out booth
I thought I could run, thought I could win
But I just lost the only thing I ever let in

You gave me rhythm, you gave me light
And I traded it all for a colder night
Now I’m singin’ to shadows, pourin’ regret
You walked out clean - I’m drownin’ in debt

I played the fool, I danced with pride
Thought I could cheat fate and let you slide
But every song I play, every bar I hit
Feels like you’re still there - and I still don’t fit

You left me the blues, deep in my bones
This guitar cries, but I’m all alone
So raise your glass, girl - toast your name
The woman I lost… and the man I became.

This song from Carter Brooks is now available for download on streaming most music platforms.

DCA Blues Music Studio is a channel bringing you the best in old and new late-night blues and jazz music. Mixing sound and visual effects to enhance your overall enjoyment of each tune.

Artist: Twelve Bar Blues Band
Title: Love That Burns
Album: Key To Your Heart
Released: 2010

From the moment the band started in 2005 the Twelve Bar Blues Band, also known as 12BBB, was considered as THE surprise of the Dutch blues scene. As the band demonstrated their musical qualities already many times at national and international stages journalists and organizers made clear this band is not a surprise anymore . Everybody who saw and heard the band play consider 12BBB as the top in the Netherlands and beyond for sure.
12BBB mainly plays originals (!), real down to earth blues, written by super tandem Jan J. Scherpenzeel, alias J.J. Sharp (Lead Vocals & Harmonica) and Kees Dusink, (Lead & Slide guitar). They get their inspiration straight from the Chicago blues.
Led by these guys the band impresses the audience and organizers with the high quality of their music and creation of the ultimate blues feel you only would expect to find in Chicago or New Orleans.
The 12BBB rhythm section is already worth while to see playing on its own. Base player Patrick "Sideburn" Obrist, drummer “Wild” Marcel Bakker and rhythm guitarist Randy Pears together form the solid base of 12BBB.
